Lotherton Pathway

Youth Development

Village Bloggurls

Lotherton Pathway is home to the Village Bloggurls, a free leadership and media literacy program for girls and women aged 6 to 20 years old.

The program works towards building and maintaining the participants confidence and self-esteem. It’s a space that allows the girls to talk about issues without worrying about the constant judgement of society.

Program participants discuss and reflect on important topics such as gender identity, self-care, body image, media literacy, race, and world issues. They explore these topics through a variety of media projects, including:

Creating digital artwork

Blogging

Podcasting

Photography

Mapping

Creating zine’s

And more!
