Lawrence Heights Jane’s Walk
Jane’s Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs.
Jane’s Walk is a neighbourhood walking tour that takes place in hundreds of cities each year. These are walking conversations and create space for civic dialogue, neighbourhood pride and centre stories by people not always invited to the table.
The walking tour in Lawrence Heights is organized by community members and takes place during Jane’s Walk Toronto.
Lawrence Heights: A Community In Between - Jane’s Walk Panel Discussions
Jane's Walk in collaboration with Toronto Community Benefits Network, North York Community House, and the Provocations Festival hosted a panel highlighting Lawrence Heights. This panel featured longtime community members impacted by the development of transit improvements and urban intensification, and discussed the importance of community benefits agreements.
